Positive Behavior at GES

This year at Grayson Elementary School we are continuing to implement a Positive Behavior program.  We have 3 Warrior Expectations that will help support a positive and safe learning environment.  We are also implementing a new part of this plan that will help to address bullying in the school.

During the first week of school we had rotation stations where the students went to each setting in the school to learn the expectations and rules.  If students are caught following the rules, they will receive a “Warrior Buck”.  The “Warrior Bucks” may be used to purchase admission to special parties throughout the year, or can be used daily for free dress day, untucked shirt, no belt days, and cap days.  All of the prizes and their “cost” are at the bottom of this page. This year we will also be rewarding students who do not receive ANY infraction reports, office referrals or paddlings.  Students will be rewarded each six weeks, and at the end of the year all students who have not received any infraction reports, office referrals, or paddlings will go on a field trip to Skate Town!

We encourage you to review the Warrior Expectations and the rewards with your child.  At GES, we are dedicated to creating a positive and safe learning environment for all students and we value your continued dedication and support.  Together, we can make a difference!

Bully Prevention

This year at GES we are participating in a program called No Place for Hate.  This is a program run by Entergy and The Anti-Defamation League . We will be addressing bullying throughout the year in many ways.

No Place for Hate
We are so excited to announce that we are now a "No Place for Hate" school.  The students and faculty at GES have worked hard this year to stop bullying at our school.  We will be receiving a "No Place for Hate" banner that will be displayed in the halls at GES! Way to go students and faculty!

Bully Day- December
On Friday, December 20th, we will be having a bully free day.
Students can wear a Christmas t-shirt or a red or green shirt with blue jeans.  Remember: "Don't be a Grinch- Spread joy this Christmas season!" If you decide to participate, make sure you complete the Grinch paper that was sent home.

Bully Prevention Video
During the month of September, students from each grade participated in making a bully prevention video.

Bully Prevention Month
The month of October is Bully Prevention month. Grayson Elementary school kicked off the month by having a Bully Prevention week. The students signed a school-wide pledge to put in the front hall. Students learned different ways to prevent and stop bullying each morning. They were also allowed to participate in spirit days. On Tuesday, students wore blue shirts to show that they are "BLUE-tiful."
